In 2005, he returned to Weekendavisen as a US correspondent. Despite this, Krasnik increasingly began to get involved in the public debate. In 2010, he joined TV2 as host of the magazine "Ellemann|Lykketoft" on TV 2 NEWS. The program has been running weekly and deals with current foreign policy issues.

In 2013 he returned to Deadline on DR2, and in January he joined Weekendavisen as editor-in-chief.
